Post

Its been too long

Well first things first as usual, just an apology really for my appalling lack of blogs over the last few months. I’m not going to lie, I have been sunning myself in far warmer climates, surfing and generally escaping the winter. So once again sorry!

But with a fresh mind and some new thoughts on this blog i have made plans (only in my mind) to have much more informative updates, with more structure. Fingers crossed i can pull it off.

There will be 3 updates per week. The first being on every Tuesday this will be based on boards. Whether it be new boards, old boards or just something amazing that we have in the shop. On the Thursday of every week i will be sending out a surf forecast for the weekend, it will hopefully be a detailed description of what the surf should be doing and whether it is worth making the effort to get in. This will be done using local knowledge and pressure / wind charts. The third blog will be done on a Sunday morning, this will be an overview of the waves we had that weekend and any interesting things coming up in the week…

So get ready for your first lot of updates next week, but for today here is your forecast for the next few days -

Friday is going to see a drop in swell from the last few days, but thankfully it looks like the wind is going to go pretty much straight offshore, and the swell could be around the 3 ft mark, maybe a little less on the drop but at low and with the push is should see a good 3ft wave on all the beaches. Croyde will most likely be bigger, and Putsborough will be slightly smaller off the high tide. It will be getting a bit smaller as the day does on. Should be a good day off surfing for all.

Saturday will be smaller and by the looks of things not too good, the wind is going to be south easterly but stronger then friday, add that to the far smaller weaker swell and it will probably bnly be a day for the keen saying that it could be around the 2ft mark so should be worth a look early on. The wind is going to go more southerly throughout the day.

Sunday looks smaller still with a westerly wind (very light). So a small 2ft or less light onshore wave will probably be found on most of the beaches. As always take a look on the pushing tide if you want to get it at its best.

Enjoy the weekend whatever you get up to, make sure you have fun though. Until Tuesday…
